It's about time: investigating the temporal in socio‐legal studies through unstructured interviews

This article looks at a methodology that is often neglected in discussions about gathering qualitative data socio-legal circles favour of the ubiquitous semi-structured interview. We argue unstructured interview underpinned by distinctive ideas autonomy subject research and particularly well suited to ‘bottom-up’ approach favoured much law society scholarship. The interview, with its focus on interviewee-led narratives structure, ideal for elusive or under-researched concepts. In this article, we outline benefits using example researching highly subjective notion time. doing so, make case methodologies can never be discussed isolation but rather only response issues thrown up particular set questions.
